You will be billed for the subscription box once you checkout, subscription charges will be taken each month unless paused or cancelled.  All boxes are shipped on the 15th of each month so if you subscribe on the 14th you will be included in that months shipment.  Subscriptions placed on or after the 15th will receive their box in the following months shipment.  You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account and clicking on the relevant option.
